ON ENLIGHTENMENT

Sadness, sorrow,

lies, deceit,

hope for the morrow,

madness, deep shit,

trials, tribulations,

poverty and riches,

anxiety, patience

vanity and vain wishes,

joys, triumphs,

sex, perversions

religion and other diversions

just do it all

for its total experience

even if it means you fail and fall

in name and appearance.

A LIVING MIRACLE

I don’t believe in miracles

I simply live it.

Inspite of many obstacles

I’m an unworthy miracle

At thirty I was expected die

Inspite of being repairable

I’m a living miracle

I still remain alive

Inspite of illnesses incurable

I’m my own miracle

I continue to be alive

Inspite of your being cynical

I’m just a miracle

Who is still alive

Inspite of friends so ineffable

I’m an unanticipated miracle

That everyone thought would die

Inspite of not burying me alive

I’m indeed a glorious miracle

For I’m just a word to go by

Inspite of being made up of one syllable
