WHAT HAD BECOME OF MAN

I saw a man throttling

The throat of another

And was mortified

Of what had become

Of Man

I saw a man stabbing

Another on the back

and was horrified

Of what had become

Of Man

I saw a man shooting

Others down in cold blood

And was ashamed

Of what had become

Of Man

THE POWER OF PRAYER

Yesterday, I crowed and boasted

About my truth; my mainstay

And here today I was tested

By a game God did create and play

In the form of a fiend; nay friend

He appeared to moronic me

And requested my rules to bend

For the sake of that friend so wee

The fiend wanted me to lie

To save his ass so dirty

I could not curse or fie

For a friend I could not betray,

But just simply prayed

That I would not have to lie

While my friend too was saved

and need not suffer or die...

Thus is the power of prayer

That the need for falsehood

Was broken by my Saviour

My Teacher, who beside me stood

THE MIND WITHOUT THOUGHTS

When the mind

is without thoughts

and ceases to remind

us of the world of farts

then there is bliss

in the soul of man

delivered like a kiss

To experience that we can

Without desire without sin

Nothing but happiness within

Without lust or evil or deceit

Heaven we shall  gain

when the mind we forfeit

We celebrate you

Without knowing you

We worship you

Without knowing where you are

We in temples seek you

While within us seated are you

We take the symbolic you

Without understanding who you are

We give different names for you

While in the seas we immerse you

We fight with other communites for you

Without understanding the love you are

We know not the meaning of you

While making delicacies to appease you

We claim the remover of obstacles is you

Without understating that the obstacle we are

ESCAPE WITHINSCAPE

When you escape

Into the inscape

you will find Superman’s cape

as well as a great landscape.

Within this inscape

lies another universe

to behold in verse...

When you go inscape

you forget all the landscape

and try focusing while agape

so that you forget you are an ape

and your humanness you reshape

as your thoughts disperse

and you forget the hearse

as you finally reach the moonscape

for within this inscape

you find another universe

that you may behold in verse...

PERCEIVING THE ALMIGHTY

When we confuse God

with our idea of God

then we tend to be a fraud

though we assume our mind is broad

for God is beyond all perception

and has been so from inception

until this earth's  definite destruction

which I proclaim without hesitation

Therefore to know or understand God

let us first remove our perception of God

So that we can then with a clean blank slate

Prepare to write and with chalk in hand do wait

like an innocent child without a doubt

stay unaware of our own clout

lets trust in God and be firm

and not define him with a word or a term

When we do no attempt to define him

Then we surely shall see and shall find him

in spite of the cesspit of our mind realise our soul

and through him become whole

So that we remain forever and ever

And with him be always together
