Yesterday, I crowed
and boasted
About my truth; my
mainstay
And here today I was
tested
By a game God did
create and play
In the form of a
fiend; nay friend
He appeared to
moronic me
And requested my
rules to bend
For the sake of that
friend so wee
The fiend wanted me
to lie
To save his ass so
dirty
I could not curse or
fie
For a friend I could
not betray,
But just simply
prayed
That I would not have
to lie
While my friend too
was saved
and need not suffer
or die...
Thus is the power of
prayer
That the need for
falsehood
Was broken by my
Saviour
My Teacher, who
beside me stood
