Wonder why
some people hoard
Material possessions
of all kinds
Even worse
than hoarding gold
Is the hoarding of food
and clothes
As well as accessories
of many kinds
For after all
we can only wear
one dress at a time
Or can only eat
up to a certain limit
Or sleep
on only one bed
for the night.
But still we long
to keep
as much
as we can.
Is it greed
driven by selfishness
Or plain
stupid foolishness?
it looks like
these people
are not sure
and are driven
by fear
for they are scared
of losing it all
and know not
if their next meal
they will get
or another
new dress
they will
be able to buy
and that is why
people hoard
without getting
ever so bored
